I just received my WUSB54G ver. 4 for my Vista 32-bit system. The included literature said that Vita users should not use the included installation CD but should.
I am a long time Cisco corporate and LinkSYS both personal and corporate customer, user and advocate.LinkSYS has failed its customers trying to use marginally at worst older network devices here. On the other hand its own customers have picked up the slack and come through with flying colors.
I did as cortana and dan042880 suggested and went through Devices and Printers to manually update the driver. In my case I just pointed it at the driver files I had previously downloaded and unzipped from LinkSYS web site. Worked like a charm with my WUSB54GS Version 1 on my Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit system. No lost packets, no dropped connections Just one solid network connection.
Hopefully LinkSYS will take the ball and do this right before they get to much bad press on this. The many posted answers from support of the device is not compatible with Windows 7 and buy a newer model sounds an awful lot like ripping their own loyal customers off. Remember in sales it takes many good deeds to over come one bad deed.

What this distinction means, is that the API and implementation are a fully supported, publicly accessible component of Sun s implementation of Java SE 6. It does mean however, that the packages are not formally part of the Java SE platform, and are therefore not guaranteed to be available on all other non Sun implementations of Java SE 6.
Thus we must replace Sun s base64 implementation with the one from Apache Commons Codec library or any other one of your choice, and here is how I did it.
Getting Apache Commons Codec into Maven
Open pom.xml file in Eclipse with m2eclipse plugin installed, and switch to Dependencies tab.Click Add button, and search for codec. Replacing encoder

Replacing decoder
The steps are almost same as above, since Apache Commons Codec library uses the same class for both encoding and decoding. You just have to use decode instead of encode or decodeBase64 instead of encodeBase64.
